We started #HalfMyDAF in May 2020 to inspire more giving. Since then, the #HalfMyDAF community has moved more than $97 million from donor-advised funds to thousands of nonprofits across the country. 

This year, #HalfMyDAF is matching more than $2 million in DAF grants, awarded via two drawings. 

The deadlines for nominations are June 18, 2026 for the spring drawing and October 8, 2026 for the fall drawing, with grant recipients announced the following week.

• If you’re a DAF holder and ready to join our pledge, here’s how to submit grants that could receive matches.  

• If you run a nonprofit, let your donors know how their giving can go further. Here are some suggestions. 

In 2025 our community distributed an astonishing $26M in grants and #HalfMyDAF matches, and we’re on track to break that record in 2026.

Our partner, Amalgamated Foundation is our #HalfMyDAF DAF sponsor, issuing the matching grants and promoting #HalfMyDAF to their account holders. Amalgamated is the first DAF provider to enact a 10% payout pledge. We’ve moved our personal DAF to Amalgamated and encourage you to consider doing the same.
